Basil G.F. Laslett, Jr.
President
Basil Laslett is a co-founder of LBA HealthPlans, Inc. and is part of the executive team responsiblefor management of the company.

Mr. Laslett, whose healthcare experience spans 25 years, also co-founded Willse & Associates, Inc.(now NCAS) one of Maryland's first third-party administrators, which was sold to BlueCrossBlueShield of Maryland in 1984. Active in sales and client management, he has also been a prime force behind many initiatives including utilization management, preferred provider options and customized benefit design. He has also helped author legislation to regulate Maryland's third-party administrators.

Mr. Laslett is a graduate of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina and holds a masters of business administration from University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina.

Henry M. Blue
Executive Vice President
Henry M. Blue is a co-founder of LBA HealthPlans, Inc. and is part of the executive team responsible for all management of the company. Besides serving as the Secretary/Treasurer he is involved in sales and account management.

Prior to the founding of LBA in 1995, he served as senior vice president of Willse & Associates, Inc. (now NCAS), BlueCross and BlueShield of Maryland's third-party administrator, and has been in the healthcare field for 20 years.

Mr. Blue holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Kevin P. Gavin, CEBS
Senior Vice President
Kevin P. Gavin is a co-founder of LBA HealthPlans, Inc. and is part of the executive team responsible for management of the company. His primary focus is consultative design of benefit plans for large multi-state, corporate accounts and overseeing marketing and sales.

Mr. Gavin, who has been in the industry since 1986 was a health benefits specialist with Willse & Associates.

He is a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist and holds a bachelor's degree from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland.

William A. Borowski
Vice President of Underwriting
William Borowski is responsible for stop-loss insurance administration, benefit analysis, reporting, and underwriting at LBA HealthPlans, Inc.

A graduate of Roanoke College in Roanoke, Virginia, with additional graduate studies at the University of Maryland, Mr. Borowski has 18 years of underwriting experience including Union Labor Life Insurance Company, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield of Maryland, and Willse & Associates, Inc.(now NCAS).

Karen A Ramires
Vice President of Operations
Karen Ramires is responsible for all of LBA HealthPlans, Inc.’s company operations.

Ms. Ramires has 24 years of experience in claims processing, accounting, member service, software development and system operations. Her positions have ranged from medical claims examiner to senior operations officer.

Ms. Ramires' experience includes Maury, Donnelly and Parr, Willse & Associates, Inc. (now NCAS) and LBA HealthPlans, Inc. which she joined in 2000.
